Event Branding for The Ballito Pro presented by O'Neill
Inspired by the theme Umkhosi, a Zulu term meaning festival, this project was a celebration of the rich heritage of KwaZulu-Natal. At the heart of the design was the Nguni cowhide, a powerful cultural symbol, which was carefully scanned and digitally reworked in Photoshop to create a striking, cohesive visual identity.
This unique texture became a signature element throughout the event, weaving its way across posters, surfboards, stage setups, and more, creating a consistent and memorable brand presence.

Event shirts - Nguni-inspired shirts were printed on large fabric sheets and then cut individually, ensuring that each piece featured a unique variation of the pattern. This approach made every shirt one-of-a-kind while staying true to the event’s theme and cultural influence.
